Nov. 2

Narrowed down my choice of international cities to the top 3
(in no particular order)

Addis Ababa, Hong Kong, and Dakar.

1. Why Addis? My future child is from there and can spend time in her country, learn Amharic, it's warm, I can volunteer in an orphanage or get involved with the community in other ways, it's Africa, and there are some good looking men there (girl's got to have a social life!)

2. Why Hong Kong? It pays well, I know someone there and another friend of mine may end up in the same school, if I can learn Chinese (yeah, right!) I will have a super- marketable skill when I return, I've never been to Asia, lots of bankers, state of the art campus, safe city and it's warm.

3. Why Dakar? I was in Senegal last spring so I am familiar with the city, a good friend of mine teaches at the international school there, I met other folks who live there, it's warm and has a beach, I can learn French, great music scene.

I will have to look closely at all the benefits if I actually get hired and one may outweigh another. My neighbor has actually lived in Addis Ababa and Hong Kong (imagine that!) and came over to share her own insight about each city-pros and cons.
~60 minutes

Below are some photos from my trip to Dakar last spring.
