Readoption Complete!

My beautiful Ethiopian babe is now an American citizen! My parents, aunt & uncle and sister came down for the occasion this morning. It was short and sweet (it's an optional formality) but the Judge was very nice and once again everyone marveled about how precocious and entertaining and energetic she is. She had a ball entertaining everyone by singing into the microphone and just being her wild, silly self. They laughed and laughed but said after their fifteen minutes with her they needed a nap! LOL

After court we went and enjoyed a lovely lunch outside at an Italian cafe. Over my ciabatta with proscuitto and mozzarella I marveled at how my Ethiopian daughter and her American mother are about to relocate to Asia. How incredibly international it all seemed.
