Her Teacher

Almi's teacher is Ethiopian. I love that. They connect in a special way and Almi loves her. One cool thing is she tells me when Almi is using her Amharic. Since we keep "ishy" alive in our house I wasn't surprised to hear she still says that, but what did surprise me is she still says "ow" and "ay" (yes and no). If she hadn't done this in front of me the other day, I might not have believed it but Ms. Essie asked her if she had to go potty and she said, "Ow." I had no idea she remembered these words! I never say them because I can never remember which is which! How does she remember those from six months ago?! She amazes me.
