In my details about the day, I forgot to mention tea time. Every day at 10:30 is snack time for the kids but for the adults it's tea time. We gather in the cafeteria and share loaves of French bread and hot, ginger tea. It is one of the few times when we all sit down--teachers, administrators and volunteers-American and Ethiopian- altogether at one table. We communicate as best we can...their English is obviously far better than our Amharic... and we laugh and joke. It's a nice and relaxing break to the middle of our busy mornings.
